These days school offers a variety of different courses and studies. I strongly believe that all the subjects we have at school are important. However, which ones do we need in our life the most?
To my mind, the most useful subjects are Math, English and History. In the main, they will be needed in school education, as well as in work and just everyday life.
To begin with, let’s take a closer look at Math. On the one hand, there are different areas in math, for instance arithmetic, analysis, number theory, logic, probability and statistics. Without these we would not be able to do the majority of the ordinary things such as seeing how much money you need to buy a loaf of bread or what is the probability of you passing your future test. On the other hand, math develops analytical thinking, organizes you, teaches you to find the solution in a variety of situations, even though it is not always the shortest and the simplest one. This way, math makes you more and more smart.
Secondly, English is also an extremely useful subject. It contains many parts like grammar, writing comprehension, listening, language richness as well as speaking. According to the fact that English is considered to be the international language it helps us to communicate with people all around the world. Thus, English will increase the number of your friends from foreign countries. By the way, if needed, you can easily express your views and concerns about some problems and people do not have any difficulties in understanding you. Another point in favor of knowing English is traveling into any corner of the world without problems. Furthermore, you get an amazing opportunity to both work and study abroad. To sum up all I have said before, the ability to speak English is a necessary life skill for every person.
In addition, History is also rather an important subject. Without history humanity will keep on making the same horrific mistakes over and over again. Therefore, we need to learn at least some basic information about our country and prominent figures from the past, who have changed the way the world used to think. After all, as the saying goes, a generation which ignores history has no present and no future.
In conclusion, tastes differ and everybody has his own way and his own school of life. So let these lessons teach us to appreciate the most important things in life. Let these lessons help us become Real People!
